How does coaching work?
Coaches do two primary things: they help you think things through, and they help you get things done. A Coach typically works with Clients via telephone, video call, or in person and usually in weekly 45-minute sessions. Your Coach is a motivator and an accountability partner - someone who will come alongside you and walk with you - inspiring and encouraging you to achieve your goals and objectives in a healthy and timely manner.
Coaching is not something that happens overnight. Clients are encouraged to invest 6-12 weeks to realize tangible changes in their lives. Your Coach will actively listen, ask pointed questions, and bring focus and observation to the exchange in order to identify and develop the strategies which will move you to reach your goals and objectives. The focus of the coaching conversation isn't on what the coach has to tell you, but on what the coach can draw out of you. Coaches believe that if we simply listen intently and ask intelligent questions, God will lead us to great insights and effective solutions to the challenges we face. You'll be amazed at what a great Coach can draw out of you.
